About the Imagine Campaign

We at MUSC have never been content to sit back on our laurels. We’re in a constant state of evolution and improvement, because the work we do is integral to the health and well-being of people – not just our neighbors, but people we may never meet around the world.

Staying at the forefront of research, patient care, and medical education requires the skills, dedication, and passion of each of us. And, it requires a thoughtful, actionable, collaborative plan we can all believe in.

It’s called the Imagine Campaign.

Medical University of South Carolina President

Joe Vuthiganon, DMD

Since coming to MUSC in 2003, I’ve gone from staff to student to faculty member and have seen the university go through some great changes including the construction of state of the art facilities to policy changes that have made MUSC more welcoming and inclusive of diverse populations. I hope to see MUSC continue this trend and evolve into a premier destination to work, learn, and heal.

Dhmir Grant, College of Health Professions

I am proud to be a student and employee of an organization where everyone’s differences are acknowledged, honored, and embraced. MUSC’s commitment to diversity reinforces the enterprise’s strive towards excellence as well as the promise of creating an environment of inclusiveness and opportunity for patients, students, employees, faculty, and staff.

Building on the vision set during the past decade, MUSC has cultivated tangible strengths in patient care, research, education, and service.  Today, with key physician leaders in place who have grown out of this culture, we are on the precipice of becoming a national leader among academic health centers.
